Wildwood Farm

The Wildwood Farm is located in Rayleigh, Essex. The mature woodland where they are based is ideal for raising their Free-range Kelly Bronze turkeys and free range rare breed Tamworth pigs by traditional farming methods. There Kelly Bronze turkey is ideal for the Christmas dinner, as the birds are grown to maturity over six months.

Hall Farm

Hall Farm Shop is located at Stratford St Mary, in Colchester.  The Farm shop has won the award for ‘Best Farm Shop 2008’ with food and drink produced on their farm. Their restaurant has also won ‘Best Informal Dining Venue 2009’ and is where you can get breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. They also attend farmers markets to sell their products there.

La Vallee Farm

La Vallee Farm produces quality meat products and they specialise in Low Fat meat products that includes beef burgers and sausages, the kind of meats they sell are beef, lamb, chicken and pork. They began the farm in 1977 by a couple called Brian and Marion Wilson who developed it into a productive farm to be able to raise cattle, sheep and pigs. They also have a farm shop in which to sell their products.

Woodford Meats Farm

Woodford Meats Farm Shop is based in Canewdon near Rochford in Essex.  The farm is owned by the Woodford family and has been since 1961. Their cattle are raised in the traditional way and they bring young stock to spacious straw-bedded barns in the winter months where they can grow and gain strength. Other than their own Woodford Beef they also sell locally produced eggs, fruit and vegetables.

Cressing Park Farm Shop

Cressing Park Farm Shop produces a variety of local produce such as meat, vegetables and Diary. Their Pork is from a rare breed of Pigs that are kept on the farm and the lamb is from their Wiltshire Longhorn Sheep. There locally grown vegetable consist of cabbages, leeks, parsnips, cauliflowers, swedes and carrots. They currently stock a selection of dairy products from a couple called Bob and Sally Kirk who run Springsteps Goat Dairy in Maldon, the Kirk family have been farming cows for generations but have only recently been in the world of the dairy goat world.

Lathcoats Farm

Lathcoats Farm is specialized family fruit farm and is one of the last remaining ones within Essex. They are known for having over 40 varieties of apples from their own orchard and all are ready picked. In the summer they have summer fruits that you are able to pick yourself which normally starts around June. They also have a wide range of food from other specialist producers from around the region at their farm shop.

Calcott hall Farm has farms around the area of East Anglia, it is currently a family run business who aims to provide a pleasant and friendly shopping experience which differs from supermarkets. Carpenters Farm Shop

Carpenters Farm Shop is located at Aingers Green within a hamlet in Great Bentley near Colchester. The Carpenters Farm is owned by the Morton Family and has been for four generations, it is run by a husband and wife partnership who took over from the husbands parents 20 years ago. The farm sells fresh fruit and vegetables and are currently in there 17th year of retail trading, the customers who visit the farm are amazed of the selection which they have to offer.

Spencer's Farm

Spencer’s farm shop was started 35 years ago, and allows people to pick their own fruit and vegetables. They have a range of PYO fruit and vegetables which have grown quite considerable over the years. They are particularly proud to have well grown strawberries on their farm that are at waist height and easy to pick.

Crouch Vale Brewery

Crouch Vale Brewery started in 1981, and is a small, independent company who are committed to brewing and supplying the finest cask conditioned ales. It is situated in Essex close by to the river Crouch, the brewery provides ale to the nearby counties on a regular basis. The Crouch Vale Brewery is also one of the largest wholesalers of brewers cask conditioned beers within the Eastern Counties and they supply a wide range of specialist beers at special beer festivals.

Primrose Pork Farm

Primrose Pork started in 2004, they sell various pork products at Farmers markets and have a farm shop also on the farm where you are able to purchase fresh and frozen pork. The breeding herd is based in Great Bromley, Essex.

Blackwell's Farm

Blackwell’s Farm Produce is based at Herons Farm which is near Coggeshall in Essex, the family who owns the farm have been there since the 1930s and have always been rearing poultry in the way that people want.  They provide a selection of meat such as pork, beef and rare breed meats and seem to be particularly proud of poultry for free range turkeys, Geese and chickens.

Jimmy's Farm

Jimmy’s Farm is a well known farm that has been on BBC TV, the farm itself produces all it own produce and is particularly well known for its meats this is due to the farm being home to the rare breed Essex Pig. Some of the produce that Jimmy’s Farm produce are Pork, Beef and Lamb and they say that these taste better because it is from the rare breed of Essex Pig.

Layer Marney Lamb Farm

Layer Marney Lamb Farm Shop is located just 7 miles south west of Colchester Town Centre. There you will find the Thorington Farm that is owned by the Coes family and has been for three generations, they specialise in Lamb and have there national process that allows the lamb to mature at natures pace without any stress which results in better flavour and a more sweet tender meat.
